Repair and rebuild

• Engine rebuilds are one thing we particularly enjoy doing.The 964 oil leak problem has been one of our major sources of engine work over the past few years,with around 2-3 engines a month to repair it's fair to say that Dave Coundon,our dedicated engine builder,is pretty good at them by now!All our engines come fully guaranteed and fully detailed,including powder coated tinwear,all new screws and hardware,cadmium plating on early engines, as well as what you would expect from a professional rebuild inside the engine, with all parts carefully measured for tolerance and rebuilt to exacting Porsche specification.
• Race engines are another specialty, having rebuilt many championship winning engines for several clients with cars in Porsche Club Championship,Porsche Open,British GT and of course the 911 Virgin 996GT3 in Britcar.This was the only GT3 to have entered and finished every race in 2005,including the first 24 hour race to be held in Great Britain for several years.This is a fact we are very proud of.
• Transmissions are another specialty of ours with Steve Winter covering most of the rebuilds.Anything from a 356 gearbox/transaxle to a GT3 sequential unit can be rebuilt ,along with any special requirements like ratio changes or L.S.D setups for racing and rallying.The 915 gearbox fitted to all 911's from 1972 to 1986 for example can be rebuilt for around £1300 plus vat.The job normally takes 3 days.Feel free to e-mail Steve for any specific requirements on steve@jazweb.co.uk
